Hi Len.....I happened upon the movie "oranges and sunshine".....and of course was reminded of you and your connections with Fairbridge. Such a powerful movie that revealed so much more than the little knowledge I had of the place or how much the children suffered.
I searched you out and found this site. I'm glad that you posted that the rumour about you passing away was not true. It is what I had heard as the last time I believe we had any contact you were battling cancer.
You may also have heard a rumour about me dying of AIDS which was doing the circles for some time. But this obviously is not fact. Very much alive.....and doing well.
Anyway.....couldn't visit the page once I'd found it without at least saying hello.
Love to you and Heather

I just discovered your site. What a blessing to see how God has used your music over the years to bless so many people in so many places. The songs are still relevant and so well done. It's good to know things are going so well for you!

Len, Magee!!! Thank God for the Internet. I never believed that I would ever, on this side of eternity, be able to communicate you. I came to Christ in 1976 from Islamic background. Your music was one of the most spiritual materials the Holy Spirit used to lift me up. ONLY LOVE IS THE ANSWER. WHO MADE THE ANIMALS' EYES. ITS JUST A MEMORY FROM THE CHILDHOOD DAYS. ETC. The spiritual impacts have been transferred to my church as well as my biological children. We love you too much to express it. I'm only learning from your site that you are a Pastor all the years! I have been a Pastor too, a Teacher of the Word by His Grace. It is sad that Christian music is no longer as the Holy Spirit sang it through you people. I pray God will raise more Spirit-filled ministers to His Church again as we had revival in the 70's-80's. Please keep on shinning the Light. If we don't meet here, we shall meet There. GOD BLESS UUUUUU!

Dear Pastor Len,
I really love your song "Water into Wine", you sing it so beautifully.
I sing solos at the Nerang Christmas Carols here on the Gold Coast and this year I would love to perform "Water into Wine". Could I please buy a backing track from you? How much would it cost? Thank you very much.
Yours in Christ,

P.S. If there isn't a minus-1 of "King of the Jews" available for sale/download already, how much would it cost if I asked you to record one for our church Christmas production?

God bless you.

Hi. I was searching for a song for a friend which turned out to be,'The Ark'. Are there any guitar chords available? We are both inexperienced guitarists and need all the help we can get.

Back in the Eighties I bought an audio cassette tape entitled "Sing Good News", or something like that. I believe it was made to advertise the Good News Bible, and that the Bible Society asked Christian song writers to contribute songs based on the Scriptures in that version. Yesterday, I tried without success to find the cassette in my house, as I wanted to play the song "Arise Jerusalem/Kings to the Dawning". I didn't know who performed the song or who had written it, but a search on the internet has revealed that it was written by you, and the link on your website has enabled me to download it. Thank you so much.
I have been interested to read your story, and thank you and give praise to God for the blessing that you have been to His people.
With all good wishes,

Hi Len, I have listened to your music since your very first album. It's as if you are an old & dear friend that I have known for a life time; as I hear your heart in the music & lyrics. Thanks for being a huge part of my Christian walk. God Bless you now & until Jesus comes. Your Brother in Christ, Doug.

Hi! I just want to tell you how God used your ministry in 1976! My in-laws(who were Christians) had your L.P. Len Magee 1973 and I borrowed it from them! On 22nd April,1976 while doing the ironing and listening to "The Ark" God's spirit came upon me and I realised I was outside the ark! I just knelt where I was and asked Jesus ino my life! Amazing! As you can imagine my in-laws were delighted! Since that time my husband, son and daughter have alo been saved! A few days after I was saved you were ministering in song at the local Elim Church in Aberdare and I came, with my in-laws to hear you and got to meet you! I am so glad that you are part of my testimony! May God continue to bless you as you serve him in Australia.

It is so great to listne to your music again..I had your album The Presence of your Spirit..on Cassette Tape! I have lost it throught the years and I was looking for you on Internet just now and I am so pleased to find you again.
I became a Christian in 1978 and you were very popular then I remember throught the Elim Church in Norwich!
The particular album I mentioned helped me so so much when I first got saved..
I sing and play lead guitar in a worship band and I sing solo..I used to listen to your stuff, pop the written down words in a key to suit my pitch and use your songs when I sang to congregations during the 80's.beautiful songs..hope that was ok..
I am currently recording a CD it will be my 3rd one.
Would you allow me to use one of your songs..it is a fav of mine..You Can Know. I would make my own arrangment backing for it and I would love to use it on the CD.
I do this legally and have a licence by law to cover me.
I sell the cd's and the monies from the cd's go to the Lord's work.
I am so pleased to have caught up with you..
God bless you..hope to hear from you.

Hi, Len. This is a blast from the past........ so catch up time. Seems that it could well be warmer where you are than here in old country. You might like to make contact with me as I have some pictures from way back at bible collage. Jesus is still good and never changes.

I'm replying on behalf of my brother, Len. Unfortunately, with the exception of 'It's the Presence of Your Spirit' which was published in a song book, none of the songs which Len wrote himself (about sixty five of the ninety he recorded) were published as printed music. But do feel free to listen to the songs on the website and make your own versions. All the lyrics are available on the Albums page of the website.
If anyone else knows of other sources, please let me know!

Hi! My brother introduced me to your music a long time ago and your songs have stuck in my mind ever since. This Ole' Mountain was an especial help to me when my dad was ill. God dealt with my anxiety, and spared him. Amen! I've just recently discovered your website and was wondering if it is possible to download sheet music. The two pieces I am would like are the one I just mentioned and Who made the animals eyes. I'd like to teach it to the kids at my church. I also have opportunity from time to time to visit school assemblies and believe it will be useful there. Hope you will be able to help. God bless.

Last Sunday the theme at our church (North Bushey Baptist) was 'Jonah' and Peter and I had great fun teaching your song 'Jonah's Key'. It was a great service with lots of laughter!
Aahh ... Happy memories of you, Heather (Timmy the dog!) and Watford Elim...many years ago. Love Pauline.

Can you please give me contact details of who we see about copyright costs to cover your song - Walk with Jesus - on a CD.
I am asking this on behalf of the Junior Praise Singers who have really enjoyed singing this song of yours and would like it to be on their CD.
Thanks very much.

I just picked up an old outrech tape of a fund rasier that you did some years ago at Kensington Temple for 'The Pye Barn Trust'..
I had just booked into 'The Chase' Clapham .. London.. and had been brought down to KT that day for the event..
I have to say I was spoken to deeply by your words and songs .. Al though I had been saved for some years I just could not shake my old life.
The Lord took me and changed me and I can say he continues to do so. Thanks for your input into my life.. Ray

Hi Len, I tried to edit my last 'post' to correct a missing letter. I wanted to correct the spelling of 'Traumatic'; as I missed the 'a'. I guess you will get the gist of it! God Bless, Doug.

Hi Len, I have owned some of your records since my early teens. The message & encouragement they have given me are indispensible. Thank you for the strength they gave me through the early & sometimes trumatic youth years. God has been so gracious when we look back over the years. God Bless & prosper you as you continue to serve Him. Doug.

I was first introduced to your songs by a blind lady who was on her honeymoon in Devon at a Christian Guest House. She sang "Only a prayer away" as she played her guitar. It really touched everyone present After that I purchased everyone of your albums and my teenage Christian friends used to sing along with me as we listened to them. I remember going down to Cornwall on holiday and my friend and I sang "Are you in the ark?" so many times that we both lost our voices for the holiday!
Years past by and I often wondered what had happened to you until someone happened to mention that you could get all your albums on-line and download the words. I have done this and play the songs by ear on the piano (would like the music if it was available though!). It is so good to know of the work you are doing for the Lord. We pray that he will continue to bless you and keep you. MARANATHA!

Hi Len, I just had to write you and let you know what an immense inspiration you and your beautiful Christian music has been to me over the years.
When I was just a small child, my mother purchased one of your albums from a second hand store for me. It was the album entitled, In The Presence of your Spirit. The songs touched my young heart in a way that has kept them in my memories throughout my life into the adult years.
You should know that your Ark song had a huge impact, not only on me but on countless others during a huge seminar that was put on by my mother's church. You see, that was one of my favorite songs from that album, and I committed its words to memory right away. I also added hand motions to describe the story that the song encapsulates. My mother was so impressed, that she lined me up as "special music" for the earlier mentioned seminar. Those who were in charge of the seminar were so impressed with the song and my performance of it, that they asked me to do it for the next night too! So you see...God used both your beautiful talent and a child's willingness to stand up in an auditorium full of people she didn't know, to deliver the gospel message. While I can't know for certain, I've a feeling that many souls were saved on those two nights.
I'm now a mother of three grown children and enjoying my middle years in life. I'm also blessed with two beautiful little nieces. Recently I lost my job. As it turned out though, this was to be a blessing in disguise, as it has allowed me to help aid my mother, who is slowing down a bit in her advancing years, with house keeping as well as giving me a very good excuse to spend more time with her. She in turn, is helping me with the lost income from my recent job vacancy.
Last night while there, my mother, my little niece, who is about the same age I was when I was blessed with hearing your music for the first time, was there visiting as well. As the three of us chatted, your music and the album, In The Presence of your Spirit, came up in conversation. Before I knew what was happening, I'd asked my niece if she would like to hear the Ark song? Mind you, I've not 'done' this song since I was her age! But much to my surprise and my niece's and my mother's delight, I'm sure, I was able to remember most of it! I'd only forgotten the second verse of the song in all these years!
What also surprised me, was the tiny spark that began to grow in my own spirit that soon became a small flame, as God used that opportunity to speak to my dormant heart. You see, over the years since my Christian upbringing...I've taken it upon myself to search out my own beliefs. Not because my mother didn't seek to 'raise a child in the way he or she should go' but because her child had a deep and burning desire to seek to know God on her own. My continuing journey has taken me all the way back to the origins of religion and the Bible, both esoteric and main stream. To this day, I continue to constantly be in search of answers. But somewhere along my journey, I have allowed my need for truth to cause me to lose the forest through the trees.
Yesterday's activities were a much needed reminder of my love for God and how much I realized I needed and continue to need Him in my heart. And that I must not lose sight of the REASON for my goal. And WHY these answers are so very important to me. I don't think I understood how much this song had touched me until I realized I was fighting back tears as I performed it for my niece from memory. The deep emotion was confusing to me and I couldn't understand why I was feeling so strongly about this song from so long ago.
But God wasn't finished yet, this awakening in me lead me along with my mother and my niece to the internet to see if we could find a copy of this long lost beloved album from my childhood and this, in turn, led us to your page. I was absolutely thrilled to find it, as was my mother! I have now happily downloaded this beloved album from my childhood and I look forward to hearing more of your music that I never knew existed.
I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful talent, beautiful voice and amazing witness to a small child years ago, who has kept these life changing songs so close to her heart for many years.
God bless you and yours,
Yours, in Him and in His Ark,

I just want to say a very belated 'THANK YOU' for your very special music that touched my heart for so long as a fairly new believer so many years ago! You came to my home Church Elim up on the hill and you shook my hand, asked if I was a student (I wasn't) and said "cold hand!" I just want you to know that though I had a cold hand, your music warmed my heart and ministered so deeply to me in difficult or lonely times, or sometimes I would love to listen to 'Cast your burden upon the Lord' or 'Freedom Road' and rejoice!
Love you to return to Dunedin for a visit some time!

Our copy of your album "Don't Doubt His Love" disappeared from church (!). Someone obviously had a very good appreciation of your music.
We've searched high and low but have not been able to locate a replacement copy.
Have you got any suggestions, please?

Noticed your name in Ken's new book and googled you to find your website. Still listen to your music, the songs you and Heather wrote when we were in your church in Mudgereeba.
I also wanted to thank you for the strong foundation of grace you put in my life through your preaching. I often still remember the things you taught me.

I cant believe i am writing to you... my dad (Mr. Bobby David- a missionary) introduced us to your music back in the 80s when we had no idea who you were and where you were from. We have been enjoying your songs and my brother (a musician) has also sung many of them in prayer meetings and School perfomances. After dad passed away, we lost touch with his kindda music which included yours as well. Today, i was thinking of your song about the prodigal son and realised we are in the internet age and I searched for you on google. I wish my dad was around - he would be thrilled to connect with you. I am blessed by your testimony and your life. God bless you all.
I would like to purchase some of the albums - Are they available in India?

Len, I and my family started listening to your music back in 1979. We have drawn great inspiration from it ever since. With the advent of high tech, my older brother and I decided to search for your music on Utube today. We were so relieved to find a good number of your soul touching tracks. "May the good lord bless you Len". Curiously, we search for the track" THE ARK ". Kindly include this track on U tube so we can download, listen to it and give praise to God. Our warm regards to you and your family.

I was listening on the web to my home country's radio station on the Internet last night and heard your voice singing. I thought, I know this voice, then the song began to return to my memory. A wild search began. Who is this man? Then I began to put the lyrics together, and proceeded to search the web for some of the words I could string together. There it was, Len Magee, Wow! I could not believe I was listening to 'For Me', what a blessing two days before Good Friday. I then listened to a few more of your songs on YouTube., then went to bed with that song on my heart. Tonight with a little more time, I played most of them.
I have put three of your songs together to use at a community of believers who have asked me to preach at their assembly on Easter Sunday. My brother, you see I am from the small country of Guyana, and used to listen to the Elim broadcasts on Sunday afternoons between 1978-1985, and that' where I heard your songs. Be continuously blessed. Together we have much work still to do for the kingdom of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
